Role with AMR - One Health Consortium: Veterinarian, PhD Candidate, and Project Manager of the Alberta Antimicrobial Resistance Implementation Plan
Dr. Kayley McCubbin received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2017. After graduation, Dr. McCubbin began her Masters of One Health (Infectious Diseases) at The Royal Veterinary College and The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in London, England with antimicrobial use and resistance fieldwork taking place in rural Uganda. Currently, Dr. McCubbin is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Calgary in the Production Animal Health department focusing on antimicrobial resistance in the dairy sector from a One Health approach, which includes the perceptions of antimicrobial stewardship across various professions. In addition to her Ph.D. work, she is the Alberta Regional Project Manager for the Canadian Dairy Network for Antimicrobial Stewardship and Resistance.
