Pam Sterling graduated from Royal Roads University in 2012 with a Master’s of Leadership. She obtained her Project Management Professional designation in 2004 and her Certified Professional Facilitator designation in 2015. Pam has spent most of her career at the University of Calgary, where she started out as a Research Associate in the Gastrointestinal Research Unit and eventually became the Associate Director of Research in the Department of Family Medicine. She also spent time in Slave Lake as a Health Researcher where she gained valuable experience working with Indigenous communities and at the Alberta Research Council as a Project Manager. Her leadership/research interests are in primary care, health safety, policy development, systems thinking, strategic planning, performance measurement, group facilitation, stakeholder engagement, quality improvement and change management. She is currently the Manager of One Health at UCalgary, in the Department of Production Animal Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary. In her free time, she likes to keep her husband Stan and dogs Terra and Brodie busy with traveling and exploring the great outdoors.
