Access to Leadership for Arabic, Social Studies, and Islamic Studies Teachers in GCC International Schools
Summary
This study explores how national program teachers in international schools across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries experience access to leadership opportunities. It looks at the factors that may support or limit teachers’ movement into roles such as coordinator, head of department, vice principal, or other school leadership positions.
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 18 to 99
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
You are 18 years of age or older.
You are currently working, or have previously worked, as a teacher in an international school in a GCC country.
You have experience related to a national program or national curriculum track within an international school setting.
You are able to participate in Arabic or English.
You are willing to share your perspectives on career progression, leadership opportunities, and school practices.
Exclusion criteria:
Individuals under the age of 18.
Individuals who have not worked in an international school in a GCC country.
Individuals who do not have experience related to a national program or national curriculum track in such schools.
Individuals who are unable to participate in Arabic or English.
Students, parents, or other community members who do not meet the professional criteria above.
