Post-Secondary Success: Navigating the Transition
Summary
We are looking for high school students and students in postsecondary to try out a new program that helps high school students get ready for college or university. The program is made for students with learning disabilities (LD) and ADHD. It uses a “serious game” format, which means it teaches important skills through game‑like activities.
Students with disabilities often face extra challenges in postsecondary and are less likely to finish their programs. This is why researchers at the University of Calgary and the University of Manitoba created this course.
The program has six game chapters. Each chapter teaches skills that help students succeed in postsecondary, such as understanding your diagnosis, getting accommodations and supports, managing your time, budgeting, and dealing with stress.
