Setting the Top 10 Research Priorities for Psychedelic-Assisted Cancer Therapy in Canada

Summary

This project aims to find out which research questions about psychedelic-assisted cancer therapy (e.g., magic mushrooms) are most important for helping people with cancer. Psychedelic-assisted cancer therapy (PACT) may help reduce strong feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness in people with cancer. Early research shows it could be an effective treatment, but this has not been fully tested yet. To help guide future research on PACT, we plan to conduct a priority-setting partnership project to identify the most important unanswered questions about PACT from patients, family caregivers, healthcare providers, and policymakers.
