Teacher, Parent, and Young Adult Perspectives on Learning Responsible Citizenship in Schools
Summary
This study explores different perspectives on how Canadian schools support students in developing the capacity to participate as responsible citizens in a democratic society. We want to hear from young people, parents/guardians, and teachers with experiences in schools in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. You will be asked to share your thoughts about and experiences with democracy, and your ideas about what is important for children to learn to know and do to participate as responsible citizens a democracy. There are two options to participate: a survey and an interview. Participants in the survey will be entered into a prize draw for gift cards with values ranging from $20 to $100, and participants in the interview will receive a $50 gift card.
