Understanding the experience of Indigenous Parents/Caregivers in the NICU/PICU/PCICU

Summary

I want to learn about the experiences of Indigenous families who have had a baby or child in intensive care (ICU).By talking with parents and caregivers, I hope to share what I learn with healthcare providers, policy makers, and communities — so they can better support Indigenous families going through this.

Eligibility

Currently recruiting participants: Yes

Eligible ages: 18 to 75

Accepts healthy participants: Yes

Inclusion criteria:

I'm looking for parents or caregivers who:

1. Are First Nations, Inuit, or Métis
2. Live in Alberta
3. Had a baby or child in the ICU in the last 10 years
4. Are over 18yo

Exclusion criteria:

You are not eligible to participate if you:

1. Are not Indigenous (FN, Inuit, Metis)
2. Do not live in Alberta
3. Have not had a child in the ICU within the last 10 years
4. Are under 18yo
