User Study Recruitment: A Design Space of Hybrid Actuation for Haptic Displays

Summary

This study looks at how people experience touch using a new interactive haptic device. Participants will place their hand on the table-top sized haptic display device while watching and listening to related images and sounds, then share how the touch sensations feel to them. The goal of this research is to understand how well this device communicates touch and how people perceive different vibration settings. What we learn may help improve future designs of interactive and touch‑based technologies.

We’ve run into some unexpected issues, so the user study will be postponed until further notice.
