Presenting at ISIRC 2025

Oral presentations will be 10–15-minutes long during a scheduled breakout session. There will be time allotted for questions following the presentations.

Poster presentations will take place during the evening networking reception.  Posters will be presented on poster boards, and attendees can freely walk around the venue and interact with each presenter. Details about poster dimensions and mounting will be provided with acceptance of abstracts.

No, ISIRC 2025 welcomes attendance by all, regardless of formally presenting in conference sessions.

Delegates may present a maximum of two oral presentations.

Audio visual equipment will be available in all session rooms. Session organizers are strongly encouraged to collect all presentations on a USB flash drive before the session and to arrive early to pre-load these files and test equipment controls.  This will help to prevent technological delays during the session.  Remember to bring your own laptop and adaptors as well as your presentation on a flash drive.  For poster presentations, we recommend transporting your poster with your carry-on luggage.

Entry into Canada

You may require a Temporary Resident VISA (TRV) or an eTA to enter Canada, depending on your country of citizenship.  We recommend checking the Government of Canada IRCC website to determine the travel credential(s) required.

ISIRC 2025 organizers require all registrants to make their own inquiries about their ability to enter Canada and offer no representations of the validity of the information provided at this link.

You must complete your registration and payment process before reaching out to sii@ucalgary.ca to request a letter of invitation.

We may require some additional personal information from you to complete the letter.  Note: Having a letter of invitation does not guarantee that a visa will be issued by Canadian visa officers as they will assess whether you meet the terms of Canada’s immigration law. This letter only serves as supporting document by explaining your purpose of travel.

The Host does not guarantee that the visa issuing authority will issue the visa in a timely manner, nor will we contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office on behalf of a Delegate or Accompanying Person. The Host cannot be held responsible if a delegate's visa is not approved. The registration refund policy will apply for such cases if requested by August 18, 2025.
