Conference Code of Conduct

The International Social Innovation Research Conference is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants. We ask that all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a respectful, productive, and enjoyable experience for everyone.

  1. Respectful Communication

    Treat all participants, speakers, and organizers with respect and kindness. Listen actively and engage with an open mind. Disagreements and differing opinions should be expressed respectfully.

  2. Inclusivity and Diversity

    Embrace the diversity of opinions, backgrounds, and experiences. We encourage contributions from individuals of all identities, including but not limited to race, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, and socioeconomic status.

  3. Harassment-free Environment

    Harassment of any kind, including verbal, physical, racial slurs, or visual harassment, will not be tolerated. This includes unwanted comments and intimidation, and unwelcome contact. Anyone who exhibits harassing or discriminatory behaviour will be asked to leave the conference immediately.

  4. Privacy and Confidentiality

    Respect the privacy of other participants. Do not take photos or record during sessions without consent from the speakers or attendees involved.

  5. Reporting Issues

    If you witness or experience any behaviour that violates this code of conduct, please report it immediately to a conference organizer. We take all reports seriously and will handle them confidentially. 

Anyone who fails to adhere to the conference code of conduct or who has been reported for violating the principles in the code of conduct will receive a verbal warning, and then will be removed from the conference without refund pending another violation.
