Description:
Social innovation (SI) has proven to be a powerful means of fostering positive and transformative change demonstrating tangible impacts on complex social challenges. SI can take many forms, including products, processes, technologies, principles, ideas, legislation, social movements, or interventions—or a combination thereof. Definitions of social innovation emphasize values, inclusivity, and collaborative processes, highlighting its potential for widespread social transformation. SI shares conceptual alignment with social enterprise, which focuses on generating economic returns to sustain growth of organizations whose benefits accrue primarily to society. This call for papers in the General Stream invites contributions from diverse perspectives on SI.
