University Research Centre

The University Research Centre (URC) is a creative space that brings innovative ideas to life.

The overall 22,000 sq. ft. facility houses state-of-the-art labs, student spaces, conference rooms, and faculty offices. The Global Research Initiative (GRI) in Sustainable Low Carbon Unconventional Resources, in partnership with Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), has invested over $14 million to renovate and create this space to foster cutting edge energy research. GRI's research and infrastructure development is primarily supported by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF).
