Partnership in Action
Parents and educators in the Fort Vermillion School Division (FVSD) are changing the future for their children. Their kids attend schools participating in a comprehensive community-based research initiative led by Dr. Jennifer Markides.
Key Partners

More than 40 years of philanthropic support through the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation has enabled the University of Calgary to recruit and retain the largest and most productive concentration of child health scientists in the country. That critical mass – and the team’s nationally-recognized success – inspired UCalgary to become the first university in Canada to declare child health and wellness a campus-wide priority.
