One Child Every Child’s data and digital infrastructure program. We work across research programs to bring data together, support shared approaches, and unlock new possibilities for research teams.
The Data Accelerator is one of six cross-cutting accelerators within One Child Every Child (OCEC), a national research initiative dedicated to improving child health and well-being across Canada.
Data is at the heart of advancing child health and wellbeing. To enable better outcomes for children and families, research data must be effectively managed, integrated, and shared.
Our focus is on integrating diverse health and research data, developing equitable data standards, and building secure, scalable infrastructure through the Sunrise Platform, while supporting the full research ecosystem through data platforms, research applications, and governance. By reducing barriers to accessing and reusing data, and by meeting the highest ethical and regulatory standards, we help enable new discoveries and better outcomes for children and families.
What We Do
Capacity Building
We drive system-level change through infrastructure acquisitions, education, and process formalization. We want to ensure OCEC researchers have everything they need to be able to ask big questions now and long into the future. We can help equip your team with the technical skills necessary to take full advantage of your valuable research data and navigate the cutting-edge digital infrastructure available to OCEC researchers.
Partner
We partner with researchers on longer-term projects to deliver high-impact data solutions. Our co-created outputs include custom platform/app development, transitioning research-built software into the clinic, providing specialized analytics, and supporting secure AI adoption.
