The UCalgary Rapid Energy Innovation Kick-Start Awards (UREIKA, pronounced EUREKA) is to support graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who have innovative ideas to kick-start a small concept or project that has a strong potential of a breakthrough.
UREIKA provides funding for innovative energy-related research and design activities in pre-determined thematic areas. The applicants will need to utilize existing equipment or facilities for their solutions. The timeline of the project is 6 months, with a possibility of extension of up to 6 months, for a total duration of up to 1 year, with justification.
Awards will be funded and managed by the Global Research Initiative (GRI), UCalgary.
