The Equitable Pathways Grant Reviewer Guide strengthens inclusive research excellence and responsible research assessment in the review and adjudication of OCEC grants and programs.

It ensures the full participation of all researchers in the OCEC research ecosystem by ensuring access, opportunity, and fairness for everyone. It aims to ameliorate biases and barriers that impede access and opportunity for members of Equity-Deserving Groups (EDGs) in research through grant review infrastructure.

One Child Every Child's Equitable Pathways Accelerator has developed three core assessment tools: an inclusive and responsible research assessment reviewer guide, a reviewer scoring sheet, and a grant reviewer checklist, to support OCEC programs and grant submissions.

These deliverables advance inclusive and responsible research assessment by aligning with the Declaration on Responsible Research Assessment (DORA) principles and the Tri-Agency narrative CV approach.

These resources are designed to embed considerations for inclusive research excellence principles for all researchers. It ensures fairness for each equity deserving group, including but not limited to, women and girls, persons with disabilities, Black and scholars and communities, 2SLGBTQIA+, as well as at their intersections, and in parallel with Indigenous peoples, directly into grant review. As well, these resources establish clearer pathways for inclusive research participation and ensures that OCEC’s assessment processes meet national and international best-practice standards.
