As the scientific coordinator of the Brenda Strafford Centre on Aging, Ann manages all aspects of Centre administration, while also leading proposal development for research projects and infrastructure, supervising research assistants, leading manuscript development for peer-reviewed publication, planning major public events, and more. Additionally, her scholarly activities include graduate committee membership and examiner roles, field placement supervision, peer review, and collaboration in a range of aging-focused research projects with researchers spanning several disciplines.
Anne's particular research area of interest falls within "one health" as she considers the health promoting potential of companion animal relationships as people age-in-place. She is a mixed methods researcher, with particular expertise using qualitative approaches.
