About this event

Welcome to One Health in the Park: Pooches, Plants & Pests!

Come join us on Sunday, Sep 15 2024 at 2:00 PM at the beautiful Native Gardens at Fish Creek Provincial Park for a fun-filled event where you'll learn about One Health and keeping your children and pets safe while enjoying nature.

Bring your furry friends along as we guide you on a nature walk through parts of Fish Creek Park to discover the unique plants and wildlife of the Calgary area. Our team of passionate experts will be on hand to share their knowledge and answer your questions. As you spend time immersed in nature’s beauty, you’ll also gain the knowledge needed to keep your children and pets safe from potential health hazards, such as parasites, wildlife-linked dog diseases, and common toxic plants.

This outdoor event will offer fun and educational activities suitable for all ages!

Facepainting, pet photo sessions, games, prizes, pop-up pet thrift store, tick removal demo, and more! Plus, by attending, you’ll be supporting a fantastic cause - Parachutes for Pets, a local charity dedicated to helping vulnerable individuals in our community care for their furry friends. They offer a range of programs including pet food hampers, vaccines & wellness clinics, grooming, and emergency pet packs to improve the health and well-being of pets in need.

Come join us for a day of learning, adventure, and fun! Your participation will make a real difference!
