Killam Awards
The Killam Programs support advanced education and research at the University of Calgary, four other Canadian Universities as well as at the Canada Council for the Arts. The awards, established in 1965 in memory of Izaak Walton Killam, were created by his wife, Dorothy Johnston Killam through the combination of a bequest in her will and donations made throughout her life.

Killam Memorial Chair
Open to distinguished academics in the fields of science or engineering.
Killam Visiting Scholar
Awarded annually to a distinguished scholar making a significant contribution to academic life at the University of Calgary.
Killam Graduate Program
Offers five distinct awards to University of Calgary doctoral students, post-doctoral fellow and graduate supervisors.
Killam Postdoctoral Fellowship Competition
Enables postdoctoral scholars to engage in training and develop and initiate original research.
