The University of Calgary ("UCalgary") respects your privacy and is committed to ensuring the privacy of all students, staff, and community members. Your personal information is collected under the authority of section 33(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and will be used for the administering the Alberta Innovates High School Youth Researcher Summer (HYRS) Program, including for the purposes of matching students to mentors.

Information collected in this application including, name, email, project information, will be limited to a select group of individuals involved in the administration of the award program and to those individuals who require access for the above purposes, including the Research Services Office administering the HYRS program, and HYRS students matched to your lab.

The personal information you provide may be disclosed to Alberta Innovates for the purposes of information verification, government reporting and/or to comply with statutory or contractual obligations. De-identified and aggregate information may also be disclosed to third parties for promotional purposes. The University of Calgary may contact you for matters relating to your project and/or administration of the HYRS program

9. Does the project involve one or more of Alberta Innovates priority research areas?
Projects that accelerate the development, validation, and deployment of health technologies and therapeutics with commercial or clinical potential.
Projects that design, implement, or evaluate innovative care models, service approaches, or policies that improve performance and sustainability in Alberta.
Projects that advance the secure, ethical, and effective use of digital tools and health data to support care delivery, decision-making, and system coordination.
Projects that address the interconnection of human, animal, and environmental health to prevent, detect, and respond to shared threats through cross-disciplinary, collaborative, applied activities.
