Kirsten Exall
Executive Director
Kirsten has been a leader in elevating UCalgary research for the past 12 years. She most recenlty served as Director, Institutional Programs Division (IPD) in the Research Services Office and prior was a Senior Research Advisor in the Schulich School of Engineering. Prior to her roles at UCalgary, Kirsten worked as a Research Scientist for Environment Canada while also holding an adjunct faculty appointment with the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
Under Kirsten’s leadership, the IPD team helped secure the One Child Every Child CFREF award, two Canada Excellence Research Chairs, the Dimensions EDI Construction award, and contributed to our remarkable research revenue growth. Kirsten is a celebrated member of the campus community, having been recognized for her collaboration and contributions to research impact.
