User Study Recruitment: WHAT:Web-Based Haptic Authoring Tool for Multi-Point Interactions

Summary

This study examines how people use a new web-based tool, WHAT, to design haptic devices, specifically force-feedback devices. Force-feedback devices are machines that apply forces and motion to a user, allowing them to feel resistance, weight, or physical interactions.

We are inviting people with experience in haptic device design to try the tool and share their feedback. During a two-hour workshop, participants will complete a series of design activities, explore the tool, complete a questionnaire, and take part in a group discussion.

The goal of the study is to understand how easy the tool is to learn and use, and how it compares with the design methods participants have used in the past. Feedback from participants will help researchers improve the tool and support the future design of force-feedback devices.
