Idea Generation Workshop: Infrastructure Funding
Research Services is hosting an in-person event exploring Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) opportunities to support research in SSHRC-related fields.
The CFI provides funding for research infrastructure (e.g. equipment and facilities) to strengthen the capacity of Canadian institutions to carry out world-class research and technology development.
While a smaller fraction of CFI investment has historically been associated with projects where the primary field of research was in social sciences, humanities, and arts (SSHA), the CFI has signaled an interest in better supporting the needs of SSHA in future competitions.
Participants will explore common infrastructure needs to support their research programs (e.g. infrastructure to support community-engaged research, digital research, data digitization or visualization).

The session will be hosted by Associate Vice-Presidents (Research) Rob Thompson and Katrina Milaney and supported by staff from the Research Services Office.
This is a follow up event to the information session held online earlier this month. Attendance at the initial session is not a prerequisite for participating in this upcoming workshop.
This workshop is open to faculty and staff across all disciplines.
