This international masterclass will take place from May 13–15, 2025, at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Banff, Alberta, bringing together leading UCalgary researchers and global experts.

Accommodation
Participants will be staying at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. It is a world-class venue offering inspiring spaces for learning and collaboration, surrounded by the breathtaking Canadian Rockies.

Banff is located 1.5 hours from Calgary International Airport (YYC). Participants are responsible for arranging their transportation to the Banff Centre.
If you are driving yourself to the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, please note that a Banff National Park pass is required. You can purchase a pass online in advance or at the park gates upon arrival.
Transport Options:
- Brewster Express: A shuttle service running between Calgary Airport and Banff. Book online in advance.
- Car Rentals: Available at the airport and in Banff for those who prefer flexibility.
For those arriving early or staying longer, self-arranged transport is necessary for travel between Banff and Calgary.
Various dining options are included for each day of the summit
- Meals provided: Breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners.
- Evening Reception: A networking dinner is scheduled for the evening of May 13.
- Special dietary needs: Can be accommodated with advance notice.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
No, transportation will not be provided during the event. Attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.
For those arriving from Calgary, options such as Brewster Express or car rentals are available to facilitate travel to Banff.
If you wish to extend your visit in Banff after the event, you are responsible for booking additional nights with the Banff Centre directly or finding alternate accommodations. UCalgary staff will not be able to assist with these arrangements.
Registration fees include 3 nights accommodation at the Banff Centre for May 12, 2025 to May 15, 2025. Room bookings for these three nights have been arranged as part of your registration.

No, childcare services will not be provided during the event. Attendees are responsible for making their own childcare arrangements if travelling with family.
