Alberta Innovates Digital Health Innovation Awards

Eligibility

The Alberta Innovates Health Team is thrilled to announce the Digital Health Innovation Awards, in recognition of deserving nominees shaping the digital health innovation landscape in Alberta in 4 categories: Up and Coming Talent, Trailblazer Digital Health Researcher, Outstanding Digital Health Company, and Health System Innovation Champion.  

Up and Coming Talent- This award recognizes an extraordinary trainee from an Alberta-based post-secondary institution (undergraduate, graduate, post-doctoral fellow, or research associate) who has made remarkable contributions to advancing digital health, such as through research, technology development, knowledge mobilization, and/or capacity building efforts. 
  
Trailblazer Digital Health Researcher- This award recognizes an exceptional researcher at an Alberta-based institution developing digital health solution(s) with the potential to deliver health benefits and/or potential for commercialization.  
 
Outstanding Digital Health Company- This award recognizes an outstanding Alberta-based company emerging onto the market, demonstrating high potential for improving health and economic growth in the province.  
 
Health System Innovation Champion- This award recognizes an Alberta-based champion (clinical or non-clinical) who is developing innovative care models that leverage digital- and data-enabled technology(ies) across the continuum of care, improving patient, provider, and health system outcomes.

Nomination Requirements:

1. Nomination Explanation (750 words)
   1. Describe the nominee’s contributions to the advancement of digital health in Alberta; 
   2. Describe the nominee’s impact, value, and tangible benefits to advancing digital health in the province; 
   3. Describe how the nominee has demonstrated leadership in their respective domain;    
   4. Describe the nominee’s commitment to excellence in advancing digital health; Any other information that supports this nomination
