Exploring Youth Experiences with PChAD

Summary

The study aims to better understand youth experiences with the PChAD program in Alberta (AKA the Protection for Children Using Drugs Program). This study will consist of taking part in an interview and a focus group (optional). This will let us hear from youth ages 16-29 about their knowledge and experience with PChAD, which is an involuntary care program for youth who are in danger because of their drug use. We hope to understand why some youth may find PChAD helpful, while others may not. We also want to her youths’ opinions on how to improve voluntary services for substance use. This is because listening to youth voices can help with efforts to develop services that better serve the needs of youth. Youth who participate will receive up to a $100 gift card ($50 for the interview and $50 for the focus group).
