Frailty InsighTs from Gait and Activity Insole-based Tracking: FIT from GAIT
Summary
This study is to find early signs of frailty in older adults by observing how people walk and travel in their everyday lives. Currently, doctors use tests and survey tools, but early detection is challenging. These tools use medical history, mobility, nutritional status etc., but may include bias. And these single point tests may also miss someone’s day to day patterns. We need accessible, concrete approaches to detect frailty. In our study, we aim to create a smart computer model, from daily life data, for early frailty detection.
