How queer/2SLGBTQIA+ female student athletes navigate their identity construction and social terrain in Calgary, Alberta
Summary
This study is trying to explore the identity construction and social behaviour among 2SLGBTQIA+ identifying female student-athletes in Calgary. Participation in this study will involve taking part in one personal interview at the University of Calgary (lasting around 45-60 minutes) and answering questions about your personal experiences regarding identity and participation in sports.
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 18 to 22
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
You can participate if you:
1) are 18-22 years old
2) identify as a woman/gender queer and as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community (and are "out", secure, and confident in your identity)
3) are a student athlete living in Calgary.
