Latin American Women in Calgary

Summary

This study explores how Latin American women acquire cultural and linguistic skills to navigate their everyday lives as newcomers, immigrants, or refugees in Calgary.

We are looking for participants who are interested in sharing their stories and contributing to a deeper understanding of the challenges faced and achievements made by Latin American women (newcomers, immigrants, and refugees) in our community.

Your insights and experiences would be invaluable to this project.

Eligibility

Currently recruiting participants: No

Eligible ages: 18 to 65

Accepts healthy participants: Yes

Inclusion criteria:

1. Are you a Latin American woman currently living in Calgary?
2. Do you want to share your story about navigating Calgary as a newcomer, immigrant, or refugee with other Latin American women?
3. Would you be interested in sharing your adaptation experience as an immigrant or refugee with other Latinas?

Exclusion criteria:

1. Immigrant and refugee women coming from countries other than Latin America.
2. Immigrant and refugee men.
3. Latin American immigrant and refugee women younger than 18 years old and older than 65 years old.
4. Latin American women, immigrants or refugees, living outside Calagry.
