Making Sense of Disability in the Context of Higher Weight
Summary
We are interested in how people living in larger bodies have experienced, understood, or responded to situations where their weight or body size was talked about as a disability, impairment, or limitation. For example, you may have been told by someone in your life, a doctor, an employer, or an organization that your body size affects what you can do, where you can go, or whether you qualify for certain supports or accommodations. You may agree with this label, feel unsure about it, or reject it altogether.
Participation in this confidential research study involves two virtual interviews with a researcher. Your experiences can help inform more inclusive policies and practices.
