Parent Registy for SIDS/SUDI/SUID/SUDC in Alberta
Summary
The purpose of this research study is to establish a wholistic SIDS registry in Alberta. We want to collect medical facts surrounding the death of the infant/child from the perspective of the parents whose child died suddenly and unexpectedly. The parents' perspective is incredibly valuable and our hope is that information gathered from this study will go on to help infants and families in the future.
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 18 to 100
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
Parents who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of their baby/child.

SIDS - Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
SUDI - Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy
SUID - Sudden Unexpected Infant Death
SUDC - Sudden Unexpected Death in Childhood
Exclusion criteria:
Parents whose infant died suddenly from a known cause.
