Understanding Nuance and Complexity in Public Health Messaging as seem in the reintroduction of fluoride to Calgary's water
Summary
The purpose of this study is to understand how public health messages are understood, especially within the current climate where health topics are debated and there is a lot of online discussion relating to how people do or do not trust in public institutions like AHS or the City of Calgary. The following survey will ask you some demographic questions, and then will ask you about your experiences seeing public health messaging about fluoride. Additional questions will ask about trust in institutions, and how you feel about a few examples of public health messaging. At the end of the survey, we will ask if you are willing to participate in an interview where you will have a chance to talk about these topics in more detail.
