One Child Every Child (OCEC) Postdoctoral Future Leaders Awards support exceptional postdoctoral scholars conducting innovative research to improve child health outcomes across Alberta.
Funded through the OCEC Transdisciplinary Training Accelerator, these awards are designed to foster a new generation of transdisciplinary child health and wellness researchers.
Candidate Eligibility
- Candidates are eligible to apply if they currently hold a postdoctoral research position or being recruited at University of Calgary or one of OCEC’s institutional partners (the University of Alberta, the University of Lethbridge, or Athabasca University).
- Have a committed supervisor or co-supervisor at an eligible Alberta institution at the time of application.
- Meet the postdoctoral scholar status requirements of their home institution at the time of the award.
- Propose a research project that aligns with at least one OCEC Theme and one Accelerator.
- Have a research proposal with a transdisciplinary focus (assessment of the integration of diverse perspectives, methodologies, and disciplines to address complex child health issues).

One Child Every Child is a Canada-first research and translation initiative funded by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund, with a vision for all Canadian children to be the healthiest, most empowered and thriving in the world.
