This includes addressing prevention, early intervention, crisis intervention and rebuilding lives.

The Taking Action on Family Violence Grant Program has 2 streams:

  1. Prevention Grant: focused primary prevention to change societal attitudes, behaviours and promote healthy relationships. 2025-26 grant funding under this stream has been distributed.
  2. Taking Action on Family Violence Grant: targeted prevention and interventions to address early signs of family violence and supports for survivors, perpetrators and their families, reduce the impacts of trauma and help individuals and families to live safely in their homes and communities.
