ADHD in Girls and Women: What Have we Missed?
Summary
This study seeks to explore and understand the experiences with ADHD diagnosis, symptoms, social support, and mental health in girls and women from childhood through post-menopause.
To do this, participants will be asked to:
- Complete a brief pre-screener survey to confirm study eligibility and gain access to full study informed consent and online survey
- Complete an online survey about current and past life experiences, thinking skills, behaviours, social support, and mental health
*We are currently recruiting girls aged 10-17 years with, without, or with suspected but not confirmed ADHD diagnosis. We are also recruiting women of all ages without ADHD but are NOT looking for women aged 26-55 with ADHD (we have filled this group already!).
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 10 to 100
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
We are looking for participants who:
1) Are fluent in English or French
2) Have normal or corrected-to-normal hearing and vision
3) Have access to a phone or device that can access the internet
4) Are assigned female at birth or identify as a girl or woman
5) Live in Canada
You do NOT need to have ADHD to participate in this study.
