Assessing LGBTQAI+ Physician Experiences in the Healthcare Environment
Summary
Social inequities persist for LGBTQAI+ persons throughout the world. Physicians are unlikely to be an exception. Evidence has demonstrated workplace inequities in the medical system based on gender and race. Unfortunately, there is little to no evidence that highlights how LGBTQAI+ physicians and medical trainees experience their work and training environments. As such, the impacts of these experiences on their general wellbeing, ability to care for patients, and careers are also unknown.
The purpose of this research study is to explore issues related to and impacts of workplace inequities for LGBTQAI+ persons in the medical field.
