Experiences of Black people with the police in Alberta
Summary
The purpose of this study is to understand Black people's interactions and experiences with the police in Alberta. Black people who express interest in the study will be invited to to attend a one on one interview. Participation in this study is voluntary, and participants may withdraw from the study at any time. No identifying information will be shared with the public; all information is confidential.
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 18 to 70
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
1) Black people, of any gender, who have been arrested or charged by the police in Alberta in the last seven years of the study.
2) Individuals who are 18 years and older
3) Resident of Alberta
Exclusion criteria:
1) People who are not Black and/or mixed-race
2) Individuals under 18 years of age
