Quantum Menstrual Health Study
Summary
The Quantum Menstrual Health Monitoring Study will follow participants as they track their menstrual cycle changes using an at-home urine fertility monitor over 3 menstrual cycles. Internal (vaginal) ultrasounds will be done to identify the exact day of ovulation.
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 18 to 45
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
1) Regularly menstruating females (consistent cycle length 24-38 days)
2) Ages 18-45
3) Knowledge of last 3 menstrual cycle lengths
4) Able to travel to clinic in Calgary for regular ultrasounds during the study
Exclusion criteria:
1) Currently or in the last 3 months on medications that impair or stimulate ovulation
2) Known conditions that impair ovulation (polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease in the last 3 months, pituitary adenoma, breastfeeding)
3) Previous surgeries impacting menstruation (removal of uterus and/or both ovaries)
4) Currently pregnant
