RUBY
Summary
RUBY (Reducing the Burden of Breast Cancer in Young Women) is a Canada wide study aiming at better understanding breast cancer in women 40 and under. RUBY is looking at the influence of diet and exercise on cancer outcomes, as well as clinical factors. RUBY is also creating a biobank of blood and tissue samples from young women with breast cancer that will be a legacy resource for future researchers.
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 18 to 40
Inclusion criteria:
Women 18 - 40 who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer.
Exclusion criteria:
Women 41 years of age and older at time of diagnosis.
Women with a previous diagnosis or who are already receiving treatment for breast cancer.
