Wearables for physical fatigue monitoring

Summary

Fatigue is a major cause of work-related injuries, and current workplace safety rules often don’t do enough to prevent it. Measuring fatigue is challenging because it’s difficult to track accurately.

In this study, we aim to understand how your work environment affects fatigue. To do this, we use wearable devices that measure physical activity and other health data. These devices help us track both physical and mental fatigue.

As part of the study, you will carry weights between two locations under different conditions. For example, you might carry weights while going up and down ramps or stairs, or while carrying different amounts of weight. By testing these conditions, we can better understand how different work environments contribute to fatigue.
