AI and Everyday Tasks Study

Summary

We’re studying how access to an AI chatbot affects how people do short tasks (writing, problem-solving, and creativity) and how their bodies respond in the moment.
In one campus visit (about 1.5–2 hours), you’ll complete quick computer tasks while AI is on for some parts and off for others. We’ll record non-clinical body signals using a soft cap that reads tiny scalp signals (EEG), a heart sensor (strap or small stickers), a breathing belt, and an eye tracker. There are no needles or shocks. We do not save what you type or what the chatbot says—only timing and duration of use.
You can take breaks at any time. You’ll receive a $100 gift card (pro-rated if you stop early).
