Attitudes and Perceptions of Direct Support Staff in Alberta Toward Disability and Sexuality

Summary

The goal of this project is to understand the perceptions and attitudes of direct support staff regarding the sexuality of people with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. This study will happen in interviews, either in person, via telephone, or on Zoom – whichever you prefer. By hearing from direct support care workers with different experiences, we hope to understand perceptions and attitudes toward this topic better and positively impact staff support and training regarding disability and sexuality. The interviews will be 1 hour in length, and participants will be compensated with a $30 honorarium for their time.
