Research misconduct in Kazakhstan
Summary
The purpose of the study is to explore research misconduct (such as plagiarism, data fabrication, predatory publication) in non-Western context using a case of Kazakhstan. We want to understand the incidence of research misconduct, its main types, driving factors, and potential mechanisms to reduce research misconduct, which might me used in Kazakhstan and similar settings.
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 25 to 100
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
1) full-time university faculty actively participating in research (H-index of 3 and anove) with the work experience of at least 2 years in the full-time position.
2) full-time policy maker at the Ministry of Higher Education and Science or Academy of Science, who are responsible for formulation, adoption and implementation of research policy, and who have at least 2 years of experience in the position,
3) full time university administrator responsiblle for the development, adoption, implementation of research policy and fascilitation of research projects with at least 3 years of experence in the position.
