Sociodemographic and Psychosocial Patient and Physician Factors in Oncology Treatment Decision-Making

Summary

This study looks at how different patient and doctor factors—such as background, experiences, and personal beliefs—affect the way they make treatment decisions together. We also want to understand how these decisions impact patients' health. Our goal is to find better ways to improve communication between patients and doctors when they make treatment decision together.

You will be asked to fill out two questionnaires (one will measure psychological factors, and the other will ask about your socio-demographic background). You will also attend one focus group (virtually over Zoom) to discuss your experiences making decisions with your oncologist.

If you decide to participate in this study, you will receive a $25.00 electronic gift card as reimbursement for your time.
