Undergraduate Political Knowledge on Alberta’s Ministry of Education Education Amendment Act, 2024 (formerly Bill 27)
Summary
The Education Amendment Act, 2024 (formerly Bill 27) comes into effect on September 1, 2025.
This law impacts, students, parents, families, teachers, school authorities, school boards and the ministry of education.
These changes will affect public, private, and charter in-school rules about gender identity, sexual orientation, human sexuality, sex-education, and personal identification.
I am interested in understanding what you know about this upcoming law.
I am interested in what you knew about the Education Amendment Act, 2024 prior to reading about this study, as well as where you initially got this information from. I am interviewing Undergraduate University of Calgary students to gain their insight into political knowledge gathering. Also, I am interested in how differences in age, self-identified gender identity, and self-identified ethnic grouping present within this research.

Eligible ages: 18 to 99
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
Undergraduate Students at the University of Calgary are eligible for participation in this study.
Students must be over the age of 18.
