- deliver ongoing programming in the promotion of NSE to young Canadians

Summary
NSERC invites applications for initiatives that promote the natural sciences and engineering (NSE) to Canada's young people, particularly to under-represented groups in NSE careers. PromoScience encourages a wide variety of organizations to apply for funding to help young Canadians in elementary school and high school (including the equivalent first year of college in Quebec), and their teachers, to develop science and engineering skills and interests. Activities that will encourage Indigenous undergraduate students to pursue graduate studies in the NSE are also supported.
The maximum allowable request is $200,000 per year for 3 years, and only one application may be submitted per department per competition year. To ensure there is no overlap between proposals submitted by the University of Calgary to this competition (there can only be one per department), applicants must submit an internal Notice of Intent (iNOI) to Research Services by noon on Friday, August 25, 2023. A copy of the iNOI can be found here.
The final internal deadline for submission is 12:00pm MT, Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Please note this competition will be run through RMS.
