Elicitation study for understanding how users prefer to interact with immersive data
Summary
Our study aims to investigate how a user would prefer to interact with immersive data using a head-mounted display. Traditional two-dimensional data visualizations, such as charts and graphs, have been widely used for data analysis. However, these static representations often fail to capture the complexity and interconnections present in large and multidimensional datasets. Immersive data in XR environments offers a promising solution to this challenge by providing users with a more intuitive and immersive way to explore and comprehend complex datasets.
Users will be able to interact with immersive data visualizations. We want to study what kind of input methods users want to use to interact with immersive data. The outcome of this study will help us identify user requirements, preferences, and usability issues, which can inform the design and development of immersive data interfaces that cater to user needs.
