Experiences with Body Size Measurement in Health and Physical Education Classes
Summary
We are looking for people who have had their body sizes measured in school (e.g., weight, waist measurements, body mass index). Participants will meet to share their experiences with being measured in a health or physical education class. We aim to explore how body measurement affects students' body images, as well as their ideas about health and weight.
Eligibility
Eligible ages: 18 to 99
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Must have an experience with body measurement in a health or physical education class.
3. Must be able to speak and understand English.
4. Must be willing to meet for two interviews. The first being one to two hours in length, with the second being 20 to 30 minutes in length.
