Summary
The Gruber Foundation invites nominations on behalf of individuals whose achievements in Cosmology, Genetics, or Neuroscience would make them suitable candidates for recognition through the 2024 Gruber International Prize Program. Each prize, which is accompanied by a $500,000 unrestricted monetary award, is designed both to recognize groundbreaking work in each field and to inspire additional efforts that effect fundamental shifts in knowledge and culture.
Recipients are selected by a committee of distinguished experts in each field. Nominations that reflect the breadth of the fields and the diversity of those working within them are encouraged.
The Foundation rewards excellence globally and encourages achievement on the highest levels in fields that contribute to the well being of our world in both science and human rights. The International Prize Program recognizes and rewards the best work being done anywhere in the fields of Cosmology, the study of the universe; Genetics; and Neuroscience.
Only candidates who have been officially nominated on a fully completed nomination form will be considered for a Gruber International Prize. All nominations materials must be submitted in English, and self-nominations are not accepted. The Chair of each Selection Advisory Board ensures that nominations are of sufficient caliber to merit consideration prior to the meeting of the Board. If a nomination passes the Chair’s review, it remains active for three years unless the nominee is selected to receive the prize or is voted off by the Board. After the third year of eligibility, further consideration of a nomination requires that it be resubmitted.
Nominations for the 2024 Gruber Prizes close on December 15, 2023
