The information we share typically falls under one of the following categories:

Funding Opportunities listserv 

  • Receive updates about funding opportunities, information sessions, and additional resources available through the Research Services Office (RSO). 
  • Opportunities are sent 2-3 times per week.
  • Subscribe via Mailman (please use your @ucalgary address).

  • Receive most updates that go out from the VP Research office, including the quarterly Research Community Digest, research operations, research systems such as IRISS, REB Exchange, and RMS, exciting opportunities for engagement and events, and more.

Staff lists we use regularly

The VP Research office also sends institutionally-relevant information to broad staff group lists including: 

  • Academic staff 
  • Research staff (MaPS and AUPE staff who work in research-related roles but who do not have an academic or postdoctoral appointment) 
  • Postdocs 

Note that these lists are generated by HR data; the VPR office cannot subscribe or unsubscribe individuals from these lists. 

Staff in VP Research units are also included on internal staff mailing lists. Please contact your manager or admin if you believe you need to be added to your unit's list, or contact vprcomms@ucalgary.ca.
